Vaughan Davies

Vaughan Davies is the Acting Director General of the Department of Aboriginal Affairs.

Vaughan was appointed as the Acting Director General in November 2016. Prior to this, Vaughan was the Assistant Director General of the Department of Aboriginal Affairs from January 2016. He has held a range of senior positions within the public sector, including working in regional locations, particularly the Kimberley. This has included delivering key projects such as the Kimberley LNG Project’s Tourism Impact Assessment and the transition of residents from the Oombulgurri Remote Aboriginal community.

Vaughan is also the Chair of the Aboriginal Affairs Coordinating Committee and an ex-officio member of the Aboriginal Cultural Material Committee.
